SPECIAL REPORT:
Trip to Fabric and Friends in
Roanoke
Saturday, November 16, 2013
Despite the
gray and rainy day, we enjoyed a visit to Fabric and Friends in Roanoke on
Saturday, November 16. The staff at Fabric and Friends were very
cordial and welcoming of our little contingent. An interesting demonstration of rulers for use in curved piecing was presented after which we broke for coffee, tea, and some excellent donuts.

Their store is housed in an historic Victorian building dated 1894. The interior finishes are very much updated and the stock was well arranged. | |
The store is prominently located in the quaint village of Roanoke, just a few miles off the I-69 Interstate. |
|
And here we
are getting refueled for the most difficult part of the trip: The
Shopping.
Fabric and Friends extended a 10% discount to our shoppers. |

We had been warned to be overwhelmed and that turned out to be the truth. Their shop is very comprehensive and totally dedicated to quilting. No scrapbook stuff here. |
