To recognize our quilters who have contributed so generously to the success of our guild over the years, the Spring Valley Quilt Guild has instituted a Hall of Fame to honor these members.  They have contributed not only their quilting skills but also their hearts and hands to our community outreach as well and richly deserve our sincere gratitude!

The first person to be so honored in our Hall of Fame for 2013 is Jean Hummer.

Jean is a founding member of the Spring Valley Quilt Guild and has been an outstanding contributor over the years.

Jean's cheerful personality and willingness to pitch in and do hard work have been great assets to the guild.  Jean always has a cheerful comment for everyone she meets.  Her good sense of humor contributes to the pleasant atmosphere of the guild's many activities.

Jean was honored with a special display of her beautiful quilt work at our 2013 Quilts in the Park Quilt Show.  Jean was on hand to greet old friends and to inspire new ones during the show.

Jean is joined here by her daughter who is a fabric artist in her own right who specializes in the creation and marketing of aprons currently.  We are sure she will follow in her mother's footsteps and become just as involved in the wonderful world of quilting.

Thank you Jean for all your good work and we wish you many more years of quilting fun!
