DECEMBER MEETING PHOTOS

Annual Christmas Pitch In Party

Good food and a short agenda highlighted our festive Christmas Pitch In Party this year.  After a thoughtful prayer we pretty much just dug in and enjoyed all the fine food brought along by everyone.

The no-calorie appetizer was a word puzzle which featured Famous Quilters we all know

Linda has to be given credit for wringing a thousand dollars worth of fun and laughs out of a $25 budget for games.

For the first game Linda read a long story about Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.  Every time Rudolph went right, we passed our plain brown paper mystery bags to the right.  When he went left we passed them to the left.  At the end each person got to open the mystery bag to reveal their own prize.  We have to wonder what a larger budget could have done for this game?

For the second game an enormous ball contrived of bubble wrap and containing various treats and prizes was passed around.  Each person had to wear a quilting glove on one hand and attempted to remove prizes while we were quickly singing assorted Christmas songs.  While no threat to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, our singers did a good job.

Yeah, I got the Grand Prize!

The Holiday Themed Show and Tell was pretty spectacular.

This quilt was created in a progressive fashion.  One person completed the middle section and passed it along to others to add successive borders and embellishments.  Finally, the quilt was returned to the creator of the original piece for completion.  The result of each person trying to outdo the previous person, yield some extraordinary results.

Christmas Tree skirt or fashion accessory?

These three all are part of a Twelve Days of Christmas pattern.
