These are just a few of the quilts from The Spring Valley Quilt Guild's 2011 QUILTS IN THE PARK event held September 8-11, 2011, at the Pendleton Historic Museum in Pendleton, Indiana.

Some proceeds from our Quilts in the Park show go to support the Pendleton Historical Museum, which in return hosts our annual quilt show.

Each year the folks who attend our quilt show pick their favorite quilt.  This exotically colored and hand pieced and quilted beauty was the winner for 2011.

This beautiful appliqué piece was the pick of our professional judge for 2011

These are a few of the many our guild creates each year and donates to Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis.  Our guild delivered 30 quilts to Riley in October 2011.

Examples of Valor Quilts distributed locally through the Veterans Administration Hospital system.  In October 50 quilts were delivered to the VA Hospital in Indianapolis made by both Spring Valley and Red Bud Quilting organizations.

This is a fine example of English paper piecing and hand quilting in a completely original contemporary design.

Not all quilting is directed at bed quilts or wall hangings.  Many creative uses for quilting in beautiful and utilitarian objects can be found as well.
